This project seems like it has been a little while in the making. ILoveMakonnen and Rich The Kid first linked on ILM March mixtape Drink More Water 5 on the song "Whip It" which features the two - along with the Migos - rapping about their cocaine culinary prowess. Now, eight months later, we get a full length project from the two Atlanta-based artists, aptly titled Whip It.

This mixtape should come as no surprise, though. The two teamed up for the project during Atlanta's A3C Festival in October. “The motivation [behind Whip It] was what I deal with everyday,” Rich The Kid told Fader. “I work really hard but have to deal with people purposely trying to get in our way. I know Makonnen feels the same way, that’s why the song has that much energy.” The same month, the two put out two tracks, "Still Working" and "Tequila Me."

Whip It has guest appearances from Rome Fortune, Migos, T-Wayne and Kay!, plus production from Murda, Sonny Digital and more.
