Jamie xx caught the attention of XXL in early April when the tracklist for his upcoming album In Colour featured a song featuring Young thug and Popcaan. Envisioning a summertime smash, the English musician told us, "“I was living in New York for a couple months and I was doing a drive to Manhattan while I was listening to Hot 97. It was the perfect setting and it made me want to make the track like that. I just think [Young Thug] is the best at the moment, him and Popcaan. I sent the song to other people who did versions, but [Thug and Popcaan's] version fit best on the record.”

Earlier today (May 11), the unfinished version—which Fader confirmed—of "I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)" sans Popcaan hit the web. Featuring a soulful sample to take care of the hook, pop-friendly production from Jamie xx and Thugga's now trademark crooning/rapping combination, the song certainly has hit potential. The finished version, which has Popcaan, is officially out. Bump that here.
