Last night (May 8), fashion designer Virgil Abloh confirmed the existence of the next Air Jordan 1 Off-White iteration. Teasing the unreleased silhouette on the red carpet of The Met Gala, Virgil matched his exclusive pair with a white, luxurious Louis Vuitton suit.

The never-before-seen shoes, dubbed after Michael Jordan's alma mater of UNC, take cues from the school's signature colors. Dipped in white and a Carolina blue hue, the sneakers feature a leather and mesh construction with hits of orange included on the tongue and side panels. The silhouette will also feature Jordan Brand's old school wing logo on the outer panel while the Off-White branded text is added to the interior wall of the sneakers.

The Off-White Air Jordan 1 UNC iteration first surfaced online a few weeks ago. With several blog sites sharing different images of the kicks, the sneakers were yet to be confirmed by Virgil or Nike. Now, with the artistic director of Louis Vuitton confirming the existence of the pair, it's only a matter of time before Nike or Virgil provide a release date.
