Nike and Virgil Abloh Team Up for the Release of “The Ten” Collection

The much-rumored and highly anticipated collaboration between Virgil Abloh and Nike has finally been confirmed by the Swoosh after the brand released a special news alert online this morning announcing the upcoming partnership.

Nike and Virgil’s collaborative work this fall will include eight popular Nike footwear silhouettes. Compromised of the following sneakers—Nike Blazer, Air Presto, Air Max 90, Air VaporMax, Air Force 1 Low, React HyperDunk, Zoom Vaporfly, Air Max 97, Air Jordan 1—the collection also includes a pair of Air Jordan 1s and a pair of high-top Chuck Taylor All Stars, to round out Virgil’s “The Ten” collection.

The footwear capsule consists of 10 sets of sneakers and will be divided into two different categories—Revealing and Ghosting. The Revealing pairs—AJ 1, Air Max 90, Presto, Blazer and VaporMax—will feature a distressed and reconstructed upper while the Ghosting pairs—AF 1 Low, Hyperdunk, Zoom Fly and Air Max 97—will come equipped with a translucent surface.

To help celebrate the release of this anticipated collab, Nike will host a few events in NYC and London, where they will present the full collection to sneakerheads and exchange ideas that inspired the capsule.

The first five sneakers to release from Nike and Virgil's "The Ten" collection are—the Air Jordan I, Nike Blazer, Nike Air Presto, Nike Air Max 90 and Nike Air VaporMax—which will be pre-released at NikeLab stores in New York City (Sept. 9-13), London (Sept. 18-22), Milan (Sept. 21-25) and Paris (Sept. 26-30).

The entire Nike x Virgil Abloh ten-sneaker collection will be available in November at NikeLab stores and at select Nike retailers worldwide. Check out the entire collection in the gallery below.
