Diadora Collaborates With X-Large and 24Kilates for New Capsule Collection
The X-Large clothing brand and 24Kilates have come together this season for a special collaborative project with Italian footwear company Diadora. This is the first time all three brands connect for a collaboration, this partnership will release of a few garments and accessories as well as a new iteration of the N.9000 silhouette.
Famous for its iconic Gorilla logo, X-Large takes inspiration from 24Kilates’ native city of Barcelona. Using a combination of premium materials to portray the different hues of white found on Copito, the N.9000 features off-white bases of perforated suede and nubuck. Touches of white kangaroo leather debossed with “XLARGE” branding add definition to overlays and tongue, while a laser-etched 24Kilates logo on the back heel comes complete with pony hair in a direct reference to Copito's fur. In a nod to X-Large’s 25th anniversary, which has made 3M reflective a celebratory leitmotif, there are subtle 3M reflective panels on the shoe. Further enhancing the color palette is the soft shade of pink that identifies the mesh tongue plus elements of sole and midsole.
The X-Large & 24Kilates x Diadora “Copito” releases will take place on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at the X-Large Store in Harajuku, Tokyo, at 24Kilates (Barcelona, Madrid and Bangkok) and at Ubiq’s new location in Washington, D.C. X-Large apparel made exclusively for the collaboration will also be sold at all release locations.
