Legendary film director Spike Lee and New York-based bag company, Sprayground have partnered up for a special collection of backpacks. The partnership was announced yesterday during a media roundtable with Spike. The "Do The Right Thing" film director spoke on the collaboration of the backpack line and how the partnership came into fruition, "I am out and about all the time, and my backpack is really a part of everything that I do. I have so many papers, my notebook. So when I went to an event where Sprayground had made a bag with my man Iman Shumpert of the Knicks, I met the guys there. And we began to talk and make it possible to collaborate. This is final product."

The limited edition collection by Sprayground and Spike Lee will include two backpacks, both inspired by the love that Spike has for the borough of Brooklyn. One of the bags from the collection is the “Pixel Mars Blackmon” backpack which features a pixelated image of “Mars Blackmon,” a character from Spike’s film “She’s Gotta Have It."
Along with the image of Spike on the backpack the bag will include a background of the Brooklyn skyline and will come in a blue and orange colorway, that represents the live Spike has for his beloved New york Knicks.

The bag is inspired by the classic military styled backpack and designed in a black camouflage colorway. The bag will include trademark patches that represent Brooklyn and are unique to Spike. This will be a 2-in-1 bag which can be converted into a briefcase. One of the notable highlights of this backpack is the interior graphic which features Spike wearing the "Love/Hate Rings" that were featured in the film "Do The Right Thing." The inside of the backpack will include a velour laptop case and tablet sleeve.
