Top Dawg Ent just formally announced a new addition to the stable as Lance Skiiiwalker is has been revealed as the latest member of the Cali outfit. The Chicago artist is no stranger to the crew. He appeared on the title track to Jay Rock's 2015 album 90095 and Kendrick Lamar's last project untitled.unmastered, on the song "Untitled 4." Now he's officially a TDE rider joining Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q, Isaiah Rashad and SZA.

The first taste we get of the Windy City rapper now that has the Top Dawg co-sign is the new single "Speed." Produced by Rocket, instrumental sounds like a funk loop played in reverse, with added drums to pace the track.

Skiiiwalker shows off a rap/sing style with upbeat party track lamenting the festive nature of the song in the lyrics. "Well only if the party jumpin'/I'ma keep the party jumpin'/Hit a nigga, knock his one tooth/Niggas lookin', 'bout to run through/Got me feelin' like I can't control/Well fuck it, let's enjoy the show/Cause I'm the party, I'ma dance cause I'm the party/Now I'ma swing her all around me at the party, move," he spits.

TDE label's president Dave Free has high hopes for the new signee and addressed the move in a press release. "Lance Skiiiwalker is going to be such a breakthrough artist for this generation," Free wrote. "He challenges the traditional format of today's music, adding another layer to TDE's unique roster."

Skiiiwalker is currently working on his TDE debut Introverted Intuition.
