Karl-Anthony Towns is a hip-hop head. The Minnesota Timberwolves star revealed some of his favorite artists during an interview with Sporting News. Towns cited Drake, Kanye West, Mac Miller and Kendrick Lamar as a few of his top picks before heaping heavy praise on J. Cole's 4 Your Eyez Only.

"I think J. Cole had the dopest album of the year," he said. "His music makes me think."

Towns' fame has allowed him to meet a lot of celebrities, including some of the biggest names in hip-hop. When asked about the most famous person he's met during his nascent career, Towns named Drake and Kanye.

"Drake coming to practice at [Kentucky] was fun," he said. "People clown him for not picking a team, but he’s just a sports fan and he’s hilarious. He’s friends with so many people and always good energy. Basketball has allowed me to meet so many people. If I had to pick one, it would be Kanye. He’s really smart and funny. Don’t let all tabloid stuff fool you. He’s really good people. I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time around him, and he’s way cooler than you could imagine."

Towns' high opinion of J. Cole's 4 Your Eyez Only is one shared by many observers. XXL recently named it as one of the best hip-hop projects of 2016. You can check out the other 49 selections below.
