Joey Purp may be keeping it humble on his social media pages, but performing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is an impressive milestone worth celebrating. On Monday (Oct. 22), the Chicago rapper was joined by RZA, and the two ran through their new collaborative track, “Godbody Pt. 2.”

The song, which appears on Joey Purp’s third solo album Quarterthing, translated incredibly well to the live television audience, where the Savemoney member and the Wu-Tang legend were joined by a drummer and a keyboardist.

RZA opens the song, spitting, “A billion, data, Bitcoins and microchips/Intel Pentium, silicon and biochips/Sitting on Oprah's sofa/My drink is on a solid gold coaster/Puff cigars with DiCaprio.”

After he finishes the intro, Joey Purp makes his way onto the stage, kicking off his verse with bars such as, “I know that they are not who they pretend to be/Ain't no more convincing me/Money turn your kin into your enemy/Streets will turn your mans into your memory.”

The song is an explosive standout from Quarterthing, which was released last month on Sept. 7. The album includes guest appearances from GZA, Ravyn Lenae and Jack Red, among others, as well as features production by Teklife's DJ Taye, DJ Khalil and past collaborators Thelonious Martin, Knox Fortune and Smoko Ono.
