Joell Ortiz, Token, Chris Rivers, Big Daddy Kane and Snow Tha Product Wreak Havoc on the Industry in “Kill at Will” Video

In March, Joell Ortiz released "Kill at Will" on his album, That's Hip-Hop. Now, the 36-year-old MC unleashes an animated visual for the standout track.

The updated version contains guest features from Token and Big Daddy Kane (they were also on the O.G. "Kill at Will") along with Chris Rivers and Snow Tha Product. The five-minute-plus cartoon clip consists of Ortiz, Kane, Rivers and Snow riding around the city and wreaking havoc on the music industry.

Around the 3:30-mark, the squad rolls up to a fictional record label called Def Tone (whose logo bears a striking resemblance to that of Def Jam). Using knives, spears and chainsaws, the crew bloodies up a corny label executive.

Darryl Robertson reviewed That's Hip-Hop when the album dropped in March, and he honed in on "Kill at Will," writing, "With lively piano thumps, hard kicks and drums, the adrenaline-laced track finds Ortiz and Token trading lines while indirectly trying to body each other’s verses." Robertson continues, typing, "With the Big Daddy Kane hook screaming, 'Ill and kill at will,' this song is New York hip-hop at its finest, meshing perfectly with the Rotten Apple’s fast-paced energy. Anyone on the go will feel compelled to use this as a soundtrack to keep it moving due to its aggressive, cocksure feel."

In other Joell Ortiz-related news, the Brooklyn rapper recently appeared on the track "A Couple Dollars" alongside Skyzoo and Apollo Brown. Ortiz stated on Bandcamp about the record, “Always feels good to tell the story of my past and how it was growing up in my projects in Brooklyn. Reminds me where I came from. You need that reminder every now and then to keep you focused and sharp.”
