Jennifer Hudson Is Inspired by Iggy Azalea
These days, it seems like everyone has something to say about Iggy Azalea, so much so that the Aussie spitter recently canned her Twitter account. But Iggy definitely has a fan in R&B singer Jennifer Hudson. The two entertainers collaborated on the track "Trouble" off Iggy's latest album Reclassified and recently performed the track live on The Tonight Show.
Hudson recently chopped it up with Billboard and revealed her complete admiration for the polarizing rap/pop star. "Working with her was a surprise first of all," said Hudson. "It was like, 'Huh, you want to work with me? Ok, great lets do it.' Working with her is interesting because it is like a different way to see an artist work."
The Grammy award winning singer continued, "She's so creative. She actually directed the video and wrote the treatments," explained Hudson. "I was like, 'hmm, maybe I need to do that.' I got to see another artist work up closely and see her creativity, which inspired my creativity as well. I don't think I've ever worked on a video with the artist being the director."
While Hudson is on the pro-Iggy bandwagon, the "Fancy" rapper still has a number of vocal detractors. Either way, the award nominations keep rolling in.
