Hot 97 Bought Power 105.1’s Domain Name, Owns It Until 2017

The beef between Hot 97 and Power 105 just got a bit more interesting. After Power 105's Angie Martinez chucked the deuces a la Chris Brown to Hot 97, the war between New York's top two Hip-Hop radio stations intensified. Now, Hot 97 has countered with a power move of their own. They have purchased Power 105's domain name.

According to Complex, Hot 97 purchased Power 105's www.Power105.com domain name from jumpstreet. Since 2000, Hot 97 has owned the domain. In 2013, they re-registered from the name. This forced Power to go with the less sexy and less desirable  www.Power1051fm.com. It gets worse, way worse. Not only did Hot 97 purchase their domain name, but also, Power105.com redirects you to Hot 97's homepage. In addition, Hot 97 owns the domain name until 2017.

Sheesh.
