Today, Alabama rapper Yelawolf turns 35!

Yelawolf, who was born Michael Wayne Atha, is with Shady Records and Interscope Records. In 2010, he signed with Interscope after gaining a major online following with the release of his Trunk Musik mixtape. The following year (March 2011), Eminem signed him to Shady Records. Since signing the lucrative record deals, Yelawolf was able to establish a significant presence in the hip-hop scene, as well as, gain recognition from major media outlets. That same year, he was featured as part of XXL's annual Freshman list and released his debut album Radioactive, which later debuted at #27 on the Billboard charts.

Popular singles like "Pop The Trunk," "I Just Wanna Party" featuring Gucci Mane, and "Radio" have created quite a buzz for the country rapper. He later took it upon himself to create his own record label known as Slumerican. Now, Yelawolf is ready to kick off the new year with his second studio album Love Story and enjoy the soon-to-be married life with his singer fiancé Fee Fee Dobson.
