GZA is back with some new music as we await his Dark Matter album.

Babe Ruth's 1972 funk-rock classic of the same name. The song kind of makes you feel like you're in the middle of the Wild West, as The Genius delivers fast-paced rhymes on the record. "The Mexican" was was produced by GZA and arranged by Jose "Choco" Reynoso.  With a mixture of slick strings from Morello, speedy drums, plus some help from Hanni El Khatib and Unknown Mortal Orchestra's Ruban Nielso, "The Mexican" is a serious head bopper.

Dark Matter has been in the works for years since the release of GZA's solo album Pro Tools in 2008. GZA's spent almost a decade working on Dark Matter and fans can now expect to hear the album this fall when it drops. Although this new track won't be on his upcoming album, it's still a good reminder that new music will be out soon.
