Brooklyn's own Flipp Dinero is living proof that hard work pays off. Recently, it was revealed that Flipp's "Leave Me Alone," which was released back in March, has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The We The Best Music Group-produced track earned its gold status on Nov. 13, nearly eight months after its release. DJ Khaled, CEO of We The Best Music, congratulated the Brooklyn rapper on his latest achievement. Using an Instagram video, Khaled proudly showcased Flipp's RIAA-certified plaque on Friday (Nov. 23).

"That boy Flipp Dinero been gold, plaques came in," DJ Khaled says in the video. "But the thing is, it's about to be platinum, so they're gonna have to make more plaques."

Last year, the Epic Records and We The Best Music Group signee spoke with XXL about his role in hip-hop. At the time, he shared that he wants to make timeless music and continuously work on his craft.

"[My goal is] to be able to say five, 10 years from now that I accomplished something. To be able to build a foundation for other artists to present their crafts as well," Flipp explained. This gold plaque could be the start of that. Salute.
