Austin, Texas is once again about to be lit AF as the annual SXSW Music and Film Festival has descended upon the capital city once again. As always, the multi-day event will include hundreds of performances from artists from all over the world as they turn up in venues throughout the city. This year's event has an added interest because it will feature a performance from the duo Doomstarks.

Consisting of MF Doom and Ghostface Killah, the elusive two-man crew will perform at the SXSW Takeover on March 17. Presented by New Era and Hypetrak, the set has been dubbed as "Live From The Other Side" and will also feature performances from Jay Electronica, Jazz Cartier, Freeway, DonMonique, A.F.R.O., E Jake, Don Flamingo, Shook and DJ Womder. The advertisement for the show resembles a comic book, displaying Iron Man holding the MF Doom mask to the sky.

This could be the start of the moment fans have all been waiting for. Then again, the last time these two did a "Live From the Other Side" performance, it meant that DOOM, who is living in the U.K. and unable to legally come into the U.S. right now, would be appearing via screen.

The two rappers initially announced their union back in 2011 after linking up a few years prior. “The guys regrouped just this year and really started fine tuning and really trying to hone it in to make this thing a reality,” Devin Horwitz of Nature Sounds Records told XXL at the time. “I think just recently it really clicked for both of them what this project could be and how important it was really for the fans.”

For a while nothing had materialized, leaving fans to wonder if the album would ever happen. Until last September when they released the song "Lively Hood" giving fans hope.

Their long-awaited album Swift & Changeable is now set to drop some time in 2016. Will they debut more bangers at SXSW? We hope so.
