It looks like DMX could soon be headed back to the slammer. Roughly four weeks after spending a night in a jail cell after turning himself in for a tax evasion charges, Page Six reports X, born name Earl Simmons, could be sent back after violating the terms of his bail conditions.

On Wednesday (Aug. 9), Manhattan Federal Judge Jed Rakoff claimed he received a report indicating that X “may have violated the terms of his pretrial release in numerous respects" after being jailed and released following his being charged for withholding $1.7 million from the IRS.

According to DMX's lawyer, the rapper spent some time in St. Louis, Mo. a few weekends ago without asking his probation officer for permission. It seems like that's what the judge is talking about, or at least, part of it. A woman who claims she's X's fiancée says she was unaware of the judge's order.

Now, Judge Rakoff has ordered X to appear in court this Friday (Aug. 11), where, if it's determined X did, indeed, violate the terms of his partial release, he could find himself being sent back to a jail cell.

For X, this marks yet another unfortunate event in a period of time that's included several of them. Earlier this year, X checked himself into a rehab center, and that move was preceded by the strange behavior he exhibited at the Ruff Ryders Reunion show back in April.

DMX could be headed back to jail soon, but whatever time he faces would pale in comparison to the 44-year stint he'd deal with if convicted on all 14 counts of tax evasion. Yikes.
