Diddy Pays $850,000 Settlement to 1999 Club Shooting Victims

The New York Post is reporting that Diddy has forked up $850,000 as his share in a settlement stemming from the infamous 1999 club shooting involving himself, then girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, and former protege Jamal "Shyne" Barrow.

At the time, Diddy was acquitted on charges that he fired a gun while Shyne was convicted on charges of attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment, a verdict that landed him behind bars for 10 years.

Diddy and the nightclub still faced several civil suits from the three injured victims, and in 2011 a settlement was reached for Natania Reuben (the most seriously injured) to receive $1.8 million. The remaining victims received settlements of $550,000. — XXL Staff
