The 2017 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer and now the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th spot voting is happening now, so each of the potential Freshman are letting you know why they should appear on the 2017 XXL Freshman cover.

Coming out of Atlanta is 21-year-old rapper Daye Jack, who looks to become one of the next artists to grace the 2017 XXL Freshmen cover. Beginning his rap career at the age of 18, with the release of his debut mixtape, Hello World, Daye Jack managed to ink a record deal that same year with Warner Bros. Records. Later in the year, the young rhymer released his first EP, Soul Glitch, featuring the powerful single "Hands Up" with a guest verse from Atlanta native Killer Mike. Peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard Twitter Emerging Artists chart, the single became his biggest hit to date. Read more on his come up in XXL's The Break.
