Childish Major Lets Go of Fear in ”Woosah” Video
Fresh off of dropping his debut album Woo$ah, Childish Major is back with a video for the song of the same name.
While "Woo$ah" may sound like your usual banger thanks to its thumping beat, the video and song actually have a deeper meaning. In the Chad Tennies and Mac Grant-directed video, Childish can be seen in a dark room room as a tarantula crawls over his face.
According to the rapper, he drew inspiration from "the initial battle for anybody reaching out to grab their dreams is choosing security/a job or happiness." Childish added, "Woo$ah is my way of telling myself I need to relax & stop stressing over money. All in God’s timing we get what we need. We appreciate your support again."
The latter half of the video finds the rapper transported from a living room to the driver's seat of car. Surrounded by police lights, Childish does his best to stay calm and eventually ends up back at his house, meditating while a woman yells at him.
In December, Childish Major released Woo$ah. The eight-track album includes features from 6lack, DRAM, Isaiah Rasha, SZA and Hero the Band. According to the rapper, the project was inspired by "spending [his] adulthood chasing [his] childhood dreams." Childish also said he hopes the album will allow him to "be able to tour all year."
