Andre 3000 May Still Play Jimi Hendrix in New Movie

Years ago it was announced that Andre 3000 was in talks to portray guitar legend, Jimi Hendrix, in a biopic about the rock star, but since then there haven’t been any updates about the possible film, until now.

Hayley Atwell, an up-and-coming actress that stars in the new Captain America flick, gave fans of the two musicians hope that the story may soon hit the big screen. In an interview with Esquire magazine she said that she is currently in talks with joining the cast of the independent movie, which , she revealed, still includes the OutKast rapper.

Andre, who has notoriously been out of the spotlight for the last few years, hasn’t been seen onscreen since 2008’s Will Ferrell comedy, Semi-Pro.
