Is Young Thug on a reconciliation tour? Just days after squashing his beef with Metro Boomin, the above picture popped up on Instagram of Rich Homie Quan. Thugger and Quan, one time besties and collaborators, had made waves in 2014 with Rich Gang: Tha Tour Vol. 1 but had since had a falling out, a collective tear shed for the split of what was one of rap's more brilliant pairings. Excitement was momentarily piqued late last month when a new track, what was likely a Vol. 1 leftover, surfaced.

But now, it seems Rich Gang is back, as Rich Homie Quan posted a photo with the Cash Money Records emblem, writing, "@birdman5star lt's turn up Rich Gang Part 2 on the way." It is presently unclear if Young Thug will play any role in the project, but just the glimmer of hope is enough. As a concept, Rich Gang was always a pieced together collective, with the 2013 Rich Gang album featuring a slew of affiliated artists like Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Tyga. RHQ and Young Thug don't even appear on that original album release.

With Tha Tour Vol. 1 then, Birdman had simply repackaged the idea, forming a new collective to produce a work that was both more consistent and affecting. This is all to say, that despite Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug more or less being synonymous with the Rich Gang moniker and Quan's attachment to the project being what it is, a Young Thug reunion is far from guaranteed. But still, a rap fan can wish.
