Busta Rhymes is preparing to hit the big screen for the first time since his 2002 major motion picture, Halloween: Resurrection. XXLMag.com caught up with rapper/actor on Wednesday (December 2) at the New York premiere for his new film Breaking Point.

The flick is a story about drugs, sex, money, and the corruption that exists in the Big Apple’s legal system. The Flipmode Squad leader plays a notorious gang-banger and ex-drug dealer to one of New York’s most prominent criminal attorneys. Busta appears alongside Tom Berenger, Armand Assante, and rapper/actor, Kirk “Sticky Fingaz” Jones.

The Dungeon Dragon believes this his best acting role to date. “I would have to say for me it was probably my favorite because I got to see myself in a diversified way that I don’t think I’ve ever seen myself or anybody else has had the opportunity to see me for a film,” he said. “And I just think sometimes when you step outta your comfort zone and you can still deliver and execute on a stellar level according to the standard that a lot of these movies execs and fellow comrades and acting are concerned... I think I can pat myself on the back a little bit, you know, walk with a hot step—it feels kinda good. I think I did a decent job and I’m just glad people feel good about the way I contributed on my end.” [Watch below]
