The latest album from Fat Joe, J.O.S.E. 2, missed out on its Super Tuesday release date due to insufficient promotion, according to a statement from the rapper issued to XXLMag.com.

"We wanted to make sure we had a second single in the marketplace,” Joey Crack said. “We dropped the first single with Akon and will be coming soon with the T-Pain joint."

The album was scheduled for release last Tuesday (May 19) along with new discs by Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Method Man & Redman, and DJ Drama. The Terror Squad leader initially addressed the album delay in a Twitter message, placing the blame on a sample clearance issue.

Still without a release date as of press time, the sequel to Joe’s 2001 platinum album will also feature cameos from Lil Wayne, Ron Browz, Lil Kim, Fabolous, Ne-Yo, and Raekwon.
