Lil Twist was behind the wheel of Justin Beiber’s white Ferrari when a photographer was struck and killed by a car on Tuesday.

TMZ reports that the photographer named Chris Guerra saw an opportunity to get his money shot of Justin Bieber. The pop singer’s Ferrari was parked outside of the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills. Guerra was in pursuit of Bieber all day and wanted to get a big scoop of him allegedly smoking marijuana. But as the Ferrari was pulling away from the hotel, he realized that Bieber wasn’t even in the car.

Guerra was hit while he was crossing a busy street to get back to his vehicle. He was pronounced dead in the hospital and the driver was not charged.

Although Lil Twist was not involved in Guerra’s unexpected death, he says that he didn’t see it happen. He also sends his thoughts and prayers to the family of Guerra.

Bieber adds his own words on the incident. Read his official statement below.

"Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves."
