Trey Songz Arrested for Assaulting a Woman With Money

Trey Songz was arrested for throwing money at a woman last August during a recent stop in New York, TMZ reports.

Trigga Trey held an album release party for Chapter V in Queens at Club Perfection on August 21. Police authorities say that between 4:00 a.m. and 4:15 a.m., he was involved in an altercation with a woman.

Here’s how police describe the compliant: "Tremaine Neverson, did throw a sum of United States currency at the complainant and said sum of United States currency struck the complainant's left eye causing substantial pain to her left eye."

Songz wasn’t arrested that night, but would face a misdemeanor assault a month later with a court date in New York on November 1. He is expected to return to court in February.
