Mac Miller is the next rapper to get involved with the reality television circuit.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mac has signed up for a six-part reality series on MTV2 that will document his move to Los Angeles. It will focus on him and his Most Dope Crew and the adventure of leaving Pittsburgh and moving out to the West Coast. On top of that, the series will also document the making of his forthcoming album, Watching Movies With the Sound Off, due out in 2013. It is set to be completed before March.
Here’s what Miller had to say:
“Yes, I have a show on MTV2. It’s very cool. Being an independent artist, I think it’s important to find different ways to bring attention to what you are doing. With Watching Movies coming out, I just want to do whatever I can to make sure everybody hears that.
The show is going to be cool, it’s a little look into my life … well, all the stuff you can show on TV. I have been living in my studio for months working on my album, so the show kind of forced me to get out of that room and go do something entertaining.”
