Big Boi Talks Andre 3000’s “Sorry” Verse [Video]

Andre 3000’s verse on T.I.’s “Sorry” got people talking, as his verses usually do. But this time, a lot of the dialogue surrounded a line in the verse where he briefly talks about how his personal issues have jeopardized Outkast as a group. In the song, he raps, “And this the type of shit that’ll make you call your rap partner/ And say I’m sorry I’m awkward/ My fault for fuckin’ up the tours…”

Recently, while at T.I’s album listening for Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head, Big Boi briefly addressed the line saying his player partner just wanted to express how he felt. “When you do music it’s a form of therapy. I guess he had some shit to get off his chest,” said Big Boi. “Just like, when you write songs it’s about your life. It was dope.”

Sir Luscious added that 3K played the record for him prior to it coming out.
