Last week, Lady Gaga posted a video of her worldly travels. The window into her life was cool, but what was truly notable for rap fans was the sonic backdrop: A version of "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe," one of the songs off of Kendrick Lamar's album good kid, m.A.A.d city, which included vocals from Lady Gaga. Fans had heard about the record for some time, but many were surprised that they actually got to hear it. They weren't the only ones.

"I didn’t even know she was gonna put that out," the Compton rapper told XXLMag.com. "That was a surprise. I thought she was gonna hold that in the can."

Even though the version with the label-mates didn't make the final cut of his album, K. Dot had no issue with Gaga letting the world hear it. "I was cool with it," he said. "It showed people we wasn’t playin’ with it; we was actually in the studio vibing out when we recorded. For her to put it out even undone, that says a lot. That says she’s confident not only about her work, but my work."
