Andre 3000 Shoots Down Hopes Of “Sixteen” Video Happening, Talks Directing Future [Video]
Just when we thought we would be able to see more Andre 3000, the illusive artist crushes our dreams, once again. The part-time rapper was reportedly working on a video treatment for “Sixteen,” he and Rick Ross’ fan favorite track off God Forgives, I Don’t, but 3K said that plan hasn’t yielded any results. In a recent interview with GlobalGrind, Stacks explained that his busy schedule and other projects prevented him from completing a treatment for the visual in a timely fashion. Now, the possibility of the video happening are slim to none. “It actually didn’t happen because of timing,” he said. “I got into another project. I really hated that we didn’t get that going.”
While Dre shot down any notion that “Sixteen” would get a visual, he did mention that we may see more Andre 3000 directed videos in the near future. “I am looking into film, going down that path, because I’ve always been into ideas and even early OutKast videos, I’ve always been part of the concept and what it’s going to look like,” he added. “I just didn’t have the skill. So I’m trying to learn and teach myself how I can get these ideas out. So I’m going to be behind the camera.”
