Gunplay Turns Himself in to Police

It looks like Gunplay will be taking a bit of a leave of absence. Earlier this week, we found out the Miami native was expected to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant and would face jail time. Now, he's done just that.

"Gunplay voluntarily surrendered today without incident," his lawyer told TMZ. "There's been an open arrest warrant for armed robbery with a firearm." A rep also told the side that the Maybach Music Group MC was advised to turn himself in following his altercation at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, though the warrant for his arrest was for an unrelated charge.

There are currently no details on his sentencing.
