Atlanta's newest hip-hop station, Streetz 94.5, is looking to make its mark in the ATL rap radio market, and hiring DJ Holiday as their first on-air talent was step one.

"With me, timing is everything and it just felt right," DJ Holiday told XXLMag.com. "I've [done] a lot in this game and been very blessed as a mixtape DJ, touring, and DJing big parties in ATL and everywhere else. But radio has always been something important missing from my puzzle of my brand. I just wanted to wait for the right time. And it being something new and fresh, I wanted to be a part of it! I love to lead not follow."

The gig starts on September 24 and Holiday will be rocking the airwaves from 6pm-10pm every Monday through Friday, eager to represent for his hometown. "Being from Atlanta and people knowing that off the [bat], being able to see me and talk to me everyday, [I'm excited to be] working with the community, finding that next T.I, Gucci, or Jeezy, and just using this a as stepping stone to bigger and better things!"

In addition to his new job, fans can catch Holiday as the official DJ for the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards, set to air on October 9. —Adam Fleischer (@AdamXXL)
