The end of an era is upon 106 & Park fans. BET is planning to celebrate the close of Terrence Jenkins and Rocsi Diaz's six-year long tenure co-hosting the popular video countdown show with a farewell episode. The news surfaced in response to rumors that BET was cancelling the show after 12 years.

"Fam, Don't believe the hype!," a message read from the 106 & Park Twitter account. "We ARE planning a farewell to @TerrenceJ & rocsidiaz tho. #New106 hosts Oct 1. 6P/5c."

BET's president of programming, music and specials, Stephen Hill, also responded to the rumors. "No it's not," he tweeted in response to allegations of the show's cancellation. "Not even close!"

As previously reported, Terrence J has already landed a new gig as the new co-host of E! News with Giuliana Rancic. —Carl Chery (@cchery)
