Corporate Thug is right.

Young Jeezy confirmed rumored reports of him accepting an executive position with Atlantic Records with a couple of tweets this morning (August 9).

“From the streets to the Boardroom,” Jeezy tweeted out to the masses. “SVP of A&R at Atlantic Records I am. Let’s Get It! #itsthaworld

“Corporate thuggin to the max!” he added just over a half hour later.

In doing so, the Snowman confirmed DJ Greg Street’s announcement, on Atlanta’s V103 radio dial, of Jeezy becoming the new Senior VP of A&R for Atlantic Records.

DJ Folk, who handles A&R for Jeezy, then tweeted: “The announcement Greg Street made on the radio a sec ago gonna fuck n—as up when they catch wind of it lol”

Tone Trump, a newly-signed rapper to Jeezy’s CTE World crew, was ecstatic for his boss.

“To see somebody that come from the same struggle as me make a power move like that is inspiring,” Trump told XXL. “The fact that it’s my big homie makes it even more special. It’s Tha World!”

Accepting the position, puts Jeezy in a similar situation to that of Rick Ross in the sense that Snow is a Def Jam Records artist, but now has an exec seat with Atlantic Records and Rozay is also a Def Jam artist, but his label, Maybach Music Group is distributed by Warner Bros. Records.—Mark Lelinwalla
