Will Kanye West Become an American Idol Judge?

Kanye West is in talks to become a judge on American Idol, TMZ is reporting. According to an unnamed source, Idol execs have recently reached out to the Chicago rapper about joining the judge's panel. The source is also reporting that 'Ye has shown interest in the opportunity, claiming "He's on the fence." Additionally, Kanye's looking for a payday that "would at least match Mariah's salary," a contract that was reported last month at $18 million.

Yesterday, US Weekly reported that Nicki Minaj was close to finalizing a deal to become a judge on Idol. As of press time neither Kanye nor Nicki have commented on the reports.
