When news surfaced months back about a new project from Aaliyah, using the late singer’s unreleased vocals, is on the way, the veteran producer voiced his desire to be involved with the project. “I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and him, and Missy,” Timbo told New York’s Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club back in April, in reference to Drake and the rap star’s alleged involvement.
Over the weekend, the song “Enough Said,” the first of new music from Aaliyah, which featured a verse from Drake, premiered at Drizzy’s third-annual OVO Festival in Toronto and hit the Internet shortly later. According to Missinfo.TV, the track was not released by Drake, but rather Blackground Records, which is run by Aaliyah’s uncle, Barry Hankerson. In addition, the Hot 97 personality is reporting on her site that Timbo will indeed be involved with the project, and will be producing at least two new songs. The bulk of the production, though, is said to be handled by Drake’s frequent collaborator Noah “40″ Shebib.
