Lil Wayne Says “I Don’t Like New York” While Recalling Summer Jam Incident [Video]

Back in June, Lil Wayne pulled Nicki Minaj from Hot 97's Summer Jam after station personality Peter Rosenberg had some not so kind words for the YMCMB queen's "Starships." The decision caused quite a stir in hip-hop and the music world in general, but Lil Wayne can't seem to recall exactly what happened.

"Flat out, I don't like New York," he told MTV News. "The whole Summer Jam, Nicki thing, I can't really remember the situation, but I know it was my call."

Still, he did enjoy himself at a recent show in the Empire State. "As far as last week['s show], last week was awesome. I think everything happens for a reason, and I think when people say that, you're not supposed to leave it at, 'Everything happens for a reason.' I believe everything happens for a reason and then you make the most of that reason. I think we made the most of it last week."
