One could say life is really good for Slaughterhouse.

Not only is Slaughterhouse two weeks away from dropping their Shady Records debut album, Welcome to: Our House, the super lyrical quartet had the priceless experience of recording an album under the steady guidance of Eminem.

Joe Budden, the group’s most outspoken member, recently spoke to MTV News about learning from one of the best MCs ever.

"I think all of us have been around long enough and are humble enough to know the appropriate time to be a sponge, and this entire process, all of us have done nothing but that, as well as sponging off each other," Joe Budden said. "So for me, it's been a learning process throughout the entire time, and I can say the same thing for these brothers because I hear it in their music as well. We're just blessed."

In return, Em has placed a lot of faith in the group’s prospects with this album as well.

"I feel like hip-hop needs this," Em said when he previewed Welcome to: Our House last week live on his Shade 45 radio station.—XXL Staff (@XXL)
