Freeway Signs To Babygrande Records, Announces New Album

Freeway has inked a deal with New York City based label, Babygrande Records. According to a label's press release, Freeway's first project under the indie label will be entitled Diamond In The Ruff, and is scheduled for a November 13th release date. The LP will include features from Wale, Styles P, Marsha Ambrosius, and Musiq Soulchild, and production from the likes of Jake One, Bink!, and Needlez.

“Freeway is a legend. Philadelphia Freeway is easily one of my favorite albums of all time. From his time working with Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella to his independent releases, Freeway remains one of the most consistent artists. We’re excited to partner with him and Amir for ‘Diamond In The Ruff,’” said Ruddy Rock.

Diamond In The Ruff will mark Freeway's first full length LP since his 2010 collaboration with Jake One, The Stimulus Package. He's also partnered with DJ Don Cannon for his upcoming mixtape Freedom Of Speech... — XXL Staff
