Jay-Z's 40/40 club has had its share of issues in the past. Now, though, the Brooklyn rapper and his business partner are coming after the club's former chef.

According to the NY Post, Hov and the club have filed a $1.5 million federal lawsuit against Mike Shand. The report says the suit alleges he “failed to perform on significant aspects” of what was asked, which resulted in “costing the club lost profits, loss of good will [and] alienation of clientele.” Prior to his work at the hotspot, Shand had worked as a tour chef for both Jay and Beyonce.

“Mike’s a great chef, and it is unclear why 40/40 would contemplate a lawsuit against him," his lawyer, Vik Pawar, told the paper. "Nevertheless, we will respond accordingly when he gets served with the complaint.”
