Def Jam can boast about another summer No. 1 album.

2 Chainz, who is signed to the venerable hip-hop label and release his solo debut, Based on a T.R.U. Story, last week, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 147,000 copies. The album, which features heavyweights Lil Wayne, Drake, Scarface and more, was expected to sell just slightly below that when predictions came out last week.

The release comes on the heals of other successful Def Jam releases this summer: Rick Ross' God Forgives, I Don't debuted at No. 1 two weeks ago, selling 218,000 in its first week; Nas' Life Is Good moved 149,000 units to debut at No. 1 two weeks prior to that; and R&B singer Frank Ocean entered at No. 2 the week before Nas, as his Channel Orange sold 128,000 albums digitally.

Rap releases occupied a couple more slots in the top five, too, as Rozay's fifth solo effort moved 43,000 copies this time around to hit No. 3, while duo Insane Clown Posse debuted at No. 4 this week, with their Mighty Death Pop selling 41,000.

DJ Khaled dropped his sixth studio effort, Kiss The Ring, yesterday, which should enter the 200 near the top next week, as well.
