Rick Ross has expanded his roster once again. The Maybach Music Group honcho took to twitter early this morning to announce his latest signing, Chicago MC Rockie fresh.

"Everyone Welcome @rockiefresh to the @MaybachMusicGrp Family!!!!" Ross tweeted early this morning. He proceeded to post pictures of the signing, as he did when he linked up with Meek Mill over a year ago. Rozay also shot out links to some of Rockie's videos, like "Into The Future," "No Fear," and "How We Do."

For some months now, there have been rumors that the MMG team would be expanding, though Ross remained hush about anything definitive until now. Other names that had been floating around as possibilities included nipsey Hussle, Dom Kennedy, and Emilio Rojas.

"Salute to @RickyRozay for seeing my vision. We ‪#RichForever‬ ‪#MMG‬," the new signee wrote on his Twitter account in response to the exciting events.

Even before the explosion of buzzing MCs from the chi that has briught wider exposure ti the city over the last few months, led by recent interscope signee Chief Keef, Rockie has been at the forefront of the local scene. He has sold out shows across the city, embarked on a 25-date tour opening for rocker Patrick Stump, and dropped successful mixtapes, including Driving 88 this past January.

"We haven't had a young individual from the city do too much in a long time," Rockie Rockie told XXL in his Show & Prove feature in the December/January 2012 issue. "It's just being able to effectively deal with my city while still staying humble [and] focusing on my goal, which is being one of the biggest artists in the world."
