The Internet was buzzing during the Fourth of July holiday, when Lady Gaga took to her Twitter and let her over 26 million followers know that she’s a fan of Kendrick Lamar’s music.

Well, the international superstar got to meet the Compton rhyme slinger and her Interscope labelmate during Day 3 of the Pitchfork Music Festival at Union Park in Chicago on Sunday (July 15), as evidenced with a picture of the two artists together. Kendrick is seeing laughing, while Gaga (hand on her hip) seems to be enjoying the conversation in the snapshot as well.

@kendricklamar #womenweedandweather listening to The Recipe,” Gaga would tweet in Kendrick’s direction Sunday. “Can your new album come out now so i can go out to clubs and dance again.”

She even re-tweeted K. Dot's tweet of: "The power is really in my hair nigga!!! Hahahahahahahahahaha."

The support comes after Gaga already saluted K. Dot via Twitter on July 4.

“@Kendrick Lamar What a sweetie calling me this morning to see how I’m doin,” the international superstar tweeted on the national holiday. “See you soon. love from across the pond. #Rigamortis.”

When one of her million faithful monsters asked her, “Are all of your fans gonna jump on him now?” Gaga fired back with her answer:

“I hope so. He and his lyrics are the shit.”

When XXLMag.com asked fans, ‘Will Kendrick Lamar land a collaboration with Lady Gaga?’ 56% voted ‘Yes, the fact that they’re both Interscope artists help.’

Maybe the Compton lyricist could nab that mega collaboration with the Mother Monster for his highly-anticipated album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, due in stores October 2.

Such a collabo would only up the ante from an album, which already counts solid cuts like “The Recipe,” featuring Dr. Dre and the newly-released, “Swimming Pools (Drank).”—Mark Lelinwalla
