Meek Mill has signed to Roc Nation for management.

According to LifeandTimes.com, the young Philadelphia rhymeslinger has joined fellow Maybach Music Group MC Wale in signing with Roc Nation for management.

“Yeah, that’s the new deal I put together,” Meek told LifeandTimes about Roc Nation helping to steer his career. “Me coming up in this rap game, I was always an underground artist coming up by myself and making all of the moves by myself. And my manager – he’s just like me, we’ve been coming up in the streets by ourselves. So we just decided to partner up with Roc Nation and take things to another level.”

Meek has certainly taken things to another level, most recently having dropped his Dreamchasers 2 mixtape, which crashed popular mixtape website, DatPiff.com, with an excessive amount of downloads on Monday (May 7), its release date.

Meek’s latest offering features the likes of Rick Ross, Drake, Fabolous, French Montana, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Wale and Big Sean.

“You know me; I like collaborating with artists I’m cool with already,” Meek also shared in his interview with LifeandTimes. “So all of the artists you see me really kicking it with and building friendships with, they might be the people that’ll end up on my album. I haven’t made any final decisions yet.”

The momentum from Dreamchasers 2 should help pave the way for Meek’s highly-anticipated debut album, Dreams & Nightmares, which is scheduled for an August 28 release. Meek is currently also on Drake’s Club Paradise Tour.—Jakinder Singh
