Thanks to his crafting Meek Mill's breakout, "I'ma Boss," as well as a slew of other mixtape favorites from various artists, Jahlil Beats has quickly become one of the hottest young producers in the game. In addition to a handful of other collaborations, the Roc Nation signee recently revealed to XXLMag.com that he's been working with his label boss, Jay-Z.

"Me and Jay-Z been going back and forth," the Pennsylvania native told XXLMag.com. "He picked a couple of my joints that he’s working on. I don’t even wanna say too much about Jay, but we definitely working on some stuff. I haven’t even sent him a bunch of beats. I sent him my favorite stuff. He hit me right back like, 'Yo, I’ma go in on this,' or, 'I like this.'"

The buzzing beatsmith is cooking something up with another of the game's icons, as well. "I also been working with No I.D.," he continued. "We working out a situation right now. A crazy situation about to pop off. He about to take me under the wing like he did with Kanye. He gonna help me on different angles of production, ’cause there’s always room to improve. I’m 24. I’m a student to the game."

It's not just hip-hop's elder statesmen that have taken notice of Jahlil's talents; the up and comer known for his energy bangers has also been working with some of rap's promising young talents, as well as some other vets. "Roc Nation treating me good," he said. "They got me working for real. I did some stuff with J. Cole, we cut a couple joints. Big Sean. Busta Rhymes. I was out in London working with Leona Lewis and somebody else that we ain’t really gonna talk about right now, but it’s ridiculous. I’m also working with 'Kiss, Styles. I got Ross. We just dropped Ace Hood’s single for his album. I’m on Khaled’s album. DJ Drama."

Most recently, Jahlil placed three tracks on Meek's Dreamchasers 2 mixtape. —Adam Fleischer (@AdamXXL)
