Pusha T’s single “Exodus 23:1” irked Lil Wayne enough for Weezy to respond with his own song.

However, Rico Beats, the producer who concocted "Exodus 23:1," says not at any time during the recording of the joint did Pusha bring Wayne or Drake’s name up.

“Honestly, when we were in the room listening to that record, I didn't hear none of these guys' names brought up," Rico told MTV News, addressing reports that Pusha targeted Weezy and Drizzy on the record. "It was none of that. Dream got in his zone and he went in the booth. Pusha got his pen, like I didn't hear nobody mentioned."

"Pusha kept tellin' me, 'I need something dark, man,’” Rico continued. "'The album sounds crazy, but I still need somethin' for my fans.’ So I was like, 'I got you, give me by six o'clock,'" Rico recalled. "I went down to the studio and I was just listening to Biggie. I was just playin' pure Biggie. So ["What's Beef"] came on and once I heard [B.I.G.'s] 'ha-ha-ha-ha' [vocal] I was like, ‘Oh shit!'"

Despite Rico’s account, Wayne certainly didn’t take to Pusha’s track too well last week, especially the lines:

“Throwing that flag up, runnin’ around like you hot shit, taking half of everything you get chorus” and “contract all fucked up/I guess that means you all fucked/You signed to one nigga, then signed to another nigga, then signed to three niggas/Now that’s bad luck.”

That prompted Weezy to respond with “Goulish,” a short diss track aimed at Pusha on which the Young Money boss raps:

“Fuck Pusha T and anybody that love ’em/His head up his ass, I’ma have to head butt him, gut him.

“Niggas can’t see me, not even a glimpse, too many banana clips I feel like chimps,” Wayne spits later on the record.

“You fuckin’ with some niggas that will murk ya’ll/Nigga you softer than a motherfuckin’ Nerf ball, bird call/Brrrrrr, what happened to that boy?/He was talkin’ shit, we put a clappin’ to that boy.”

Although Pusha hasn’t responded just yet, his manager Steven Victor tweeted, “Wayne diss softer than my next door neighbour B,” followed by a Photo-shopped image of Drake crying labeled with the words, “Don’t Worry Wayne….I will Avenge You.”

The same Friday night (May 25) that Wayne responded on record, Drake too jabbed at Pusha, spitting a freestyle during the Washington DC stop of his Club Paradise Tour.

“If you was doin’ 16s when I was 16, and your shit flopped and you switched teams, don’t talk to me, my nigga,” Drizzy spit according to multiple reports.
