Big Sean recently revealed that he’s cooking up something with none other than Ma$e.

“We got something in the works,” the G.O.O.D. Music rapper confirmed with Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg on New York City’s Hot 97 morning show. “He surprised me, called me just out of nowhere.

“He was like [doing his best impersonation of the former Bad Boy rapper], ‘What’s up, this Ma$e. I’m really diggin’ your style,” he added. We need to work on something.’ I’m like, … ‘What the fuck?’”

Sean and Ma$e share a somewhat similar lazy flow. The Detroit MC, just like his boss Kanye West, isn’t shy about saying that Mason Betha was a big influence on him.

“That’s somebody that I came up listening to,” Big Sean continued. “That whole Bad Boy era…Biggie was the reason I rock a Jesus piece and the reason I call myself Big Sean, you know what I’m saying? That whole Bad Boy era…they was rocking the gold, the rollies. I used to want a rollie like B.I.G. and ’Pac. So, we got something in the works with [Ma$e], a lot of people.”

Other highlights of the interview, included Big Sean talking about the G.O.O.D. Music compilation, due out this summer, and doing the “Dance (A$$)” video with Nicki Minaj. He and Minaj will be some of the performers at Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam mega concert at the Met Life Stadium on June 3. Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wale, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz and French Montana are other performers set to take the Summer Jam stage next month.—Jakinder Singh
