The release date of 50 Cent’s new mixtape, The Lost Tape, has been pushed back a week till May 22. The original date was May 15.

The compilation will mark 50’s first collaboration with DJ Drama’s popular Gangsta Grillz mixape series.

“It’s just timing, things change too,” 50 told MTV’s Mixtape Daily Friday (May 11) of his first collaboration with Drama. “I had the name for it and everything Blood in a Gangsta’s Grill and we never actually went to actually create the tape because technology at that period opened up in a way that I can distribute the music to the masses without actually utilizing a DJ.”

“I’m back on the streets man, it’s goin’ down,” ’Fif continued with sheer excitement. “I don’t wan to put too many joints on a tape where it overwhelms people and I don’t like making Now compilations where I got so many people on it where you ain’t sure you like it.”

The Lost Tape is set to have 13 tracks.—XXL Staff
