They did it again.

After teaming up for mega-hit "Niggas In Paris," off of Kanye West and Jay-Z's Watch The Throne album, Yeezy and G.O.O.D. Music producer Hit-Boy have cooked up another song seemingly destined to become a smash. Since "Theraflu" dropped unexpectedly late last night (April 4), the banger has been much of the talk of the rap and music world. The track, which features DJ Khaled and DJ Pharris, finds Kanye both talking greasy and getting personal over an addictive beat from Hit-Boy. XXLMag.com caught up with the up and coming producer to talk about the song and subsequent response.

"I made that beat a couple months ago, just in a session messing around," the Surf Club member told XXLMag.com. "I had sent the beat to Khaled, and Khaled, he sent it to 'Ye. 'Ye just did the record maybe a week and a half ago. We actually don't know if it's going to be on Khaled's album or 'Ye's album. We just put it out because we felt like it was so urgent, people just needed to hear it. Obviously, the proof is in the pudding. That joint is everywhere now."

Though Hit-Boy was in California while Yeezy recorded the joint in New York recently, the man behind the track's sound is pleased with the outcome.

"I just always want my stuff to sound fresh; I want it to sound big," he continued. "I really like the snare. I feel like this is the new snare that people haven't really heard on conventional club records, so when you hear this joint in the club, it's going to be fresh to the ears, and that's what I'm always looking to bring."

Last night, shortly after the record was released, Hit-Boy and co. hit the club 1 Oak in New York City to celebrate. "They played it like five times in a row," he boasted. "It was all love. People showed me a whole lot of love. It was really dope. It's a brand new record, and I'm sure not everybody in there heard it [already], but they were still moving to it. It's one of those type of songs, that no matter if you know it or not, it's some shit you gotta move to."

With a new G.O.O.D. Music single, "Mercy," featuring Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz (not produced by Hit-Boy) slated to be released tomorrow (April 6), the G.O.O.D. Music album is looking like it's becoming more of a reality. The producer confirmed that the team is hard at work on the project.

"We just pretty much working on the G.O.O.D. Music album still; just finishing that up," he said. "I don't know how many tracks I'll have on there—I could have zero, I could have ten. We just working, man. We just making music. With this record, it just dropped out of nowhere. When we make good stuff, we just want people to hear it."

Hit-Boy says he's also ready to take after his G.O.O.D. Music boss, and go from behind the boards to in front of the mic. "Right now, I'm working on my own project," Hit-Boy added. "It's in early stages. I'm just putting it together. I'm really excited about the new sounds I'm going to be bringing to the game." —Adam Fleischer (@AdamXXL)
