Kanye West will be performing his very first MTV "Unplugged" concert, a source close to the situation confirmed to XXLMag.com.

Following a tweet from DJ Folk that read, "KANYE WEST UNPLUGGED DEF JAM/IDJ [Sic]," the source tells XXL that Yeezy is indeed scheduled to hit the "Unplugged" stage this May, although the rest of the details are still under wraps at press time.

In 2009, 'Ye hit another Viacom stage, that time performing before an intimate audience for VH1's "Storytellers" while backed by a full band. Then, he performed tracks like "Stronger," "Homecoming" and "Robocop," among a slew of other hits. Eventually, the show was recorded and released under Roc-A-Fella as an album titled VH1 Storytellers in 2010, and it featured nine of the tracks that the Louis Vuitton Don during the set.

In related news, Kanye has been making headlines recently for his latest release "Theraflu," on which he confesses his love for now-rumored girlfriend Kim Kardashian. On the track, which features DJ Khaled and DJ Pharris and was produced by Hit-Boy, ’Ye raps, “and the whole industry wanna fuck your old chick/Only nigga I got respect for is Wiz/And I’ll admit, I fell in love with Kim/Around the same time, she fell in love with him/Well, that’s cool, baby girl do your thing/Lucky I didn’t have Jay drop him from the team.”

A couple of days later, the cold medicine company Theraflu released a statement about Kanye's use of their product for his song title, stating their displeasure with it.  “We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner,” a company rep said. —Mariel Concepcion (@Mceezy)
